Former NFL star Deion Sanders reunites with Goldberg, his former NFL teammate, at CU

Reunion through a new generation

Former NFL players Bill Goldberg and Deion Sanders, who were teammates on the Atlanta Falcons together from 1992 to 1994, reunited recently at the University of Colorado, where Goldberg's son, Gage, is a freshman on the football team that Sanders coaches.

A chance encounter

The reunion happened by chance when Goldberg visited his son on campus and ran into Sanders. The two former teammates talked about their days playing together and expressed their support for Gage's football career.

A shared bond

Goldberg and Sanders both had successful NFL careers. Goldberg was a defensive tackle who played for the Falcons, Los Angeles Rams, and Carolina Panthers. Sanders was a two-way star who played cornerback and wide receiver for the Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Baltimore Ravens.
